BANK OF AFRICA was established in 1982 in Mali. 35 years later, it has become one of the leading pan-African institutions. BOA now has operations in four of the continent's regions - 8 countries in West Africa (Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Togo and Ghana), 5 countries in East Africa (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Djibouti-Mer Rouge), 1 Central African country (DRC) and 1 Southern African country (Madagascar). Since 2010, BANK OF AFRICA has owned a 72.41% stake in BANK OF AFRICA and has provided the latter with a high level of strategic and operational support.

MALI DEVELOPMENT BANK 

BANQUE DE DÉVELOPPEMENT DU MALI (BDM) is Mali's leading bank with a nationwide network of nearly 50 branches and 70 points of sale. 2016 saw the launch of its bank-insurance business. BANK OF AFRICA has a 32.4% stake in the bank.

LCB Bank is one of the market leaders in credit distribution in Congo and the country’s largest bank in terms of branch network size. BANK OF AFRICA has a 37% stake in the bank.

BMCE BANK INTERNATIONAL (BBI PIc) is the Group's international investment and financial holding company. Based in Madrid, London and Paris, it provides international institutions and investors with an extensive range of opportunities on the African continent. BBI also offers African corporates its financial expertise and improved access to international capital markets.

BMCE EUROSERVICES

BMCE EUROSERVICES is BANK OF AFRICA specialist money transfer subsidiary. Its customer base comprises the overseas African diaspora, particularly Moroccans living abroad. With operations in Europe (Belgium, Spain, France and the Netherlands) as well as in Canada, this subsidiary is wholly-owned by BANK OF AFRICA.

BANK OF AFRICA SHANGHAI


The BANK OF AFRICA Group is the first Moroccan banking group to settle in China : in 2019 was officially inaugurated the BANK OF AFRICA SHANGHAI. The new branch aims to become a key player in the financing of foreign trade operations between China and Africa while actively participating in the promotion of Chinese investments in Africa. 
The first year of activities ended with promising results: BANK OF AFRICA SHANGHAI completed $154 million in financings for Chinese and African clients.
